The Story Behind This Shot

Orange aspens glowing in the foreground below a ridge of purple peaks and a thin line of fiery sunrise sky, shot from the Ohio Pass overlook near Crested Butte, Colorado. The color is so saturated at this hour that the aspens look lit from within. Fall color near Crested Butte peaks early in October, and the timing is worth the gamble. A warm, vertical fall landscape print with a lot of depth.
