By using this site or placing an order, you're agreeing to the terms below. They're written in plain language on purpose — reach out through the Contact page if anything here is unclear.

What you're buying

When you order a print, you're purchasing a single physical print of that image, in the material and size you selected. You're not purchasing the copyright, a license to reproduce the image, or any commercial usage rights. Every photograph on this site remains the copyright of Chris Heaton unless we've agreed to something different in writing. You may display the print you bought, including in your home or business, but you may not scan, photograph, reproduce, or resell the image itself without separate written permission.

Orders and pricing

Prices shown at checkout are final and calculated at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, change prices going forward, or discontinue a print or material — none of which affects an order you've already placed. Placing an order is an offer to buy, which we accept by processing and shipping it; we may decline or cancel an order (for example, if something's out of stock or a pricing error slipped through), in which case you'll be refunded in full.

Site content

Everything on this site — photographs, text, and design — belongs to Heaton.Photography unless otherwise noted, and is provided for your personal browsing and shopping use. Don't copy, scrape, or republish it without permission.

Limitation of liability

We work to make sure everything on this site is accurate — pricing, descriptions, and the planning tools like the sunset/wildlife/aspen forecasts — but none of it is a guarantee, and we're not liable for decisions made based on it (a trip planned around a forecast that didn't pan out, for instance). To the extent allowed by law, our liability for any issue with an order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
