Golden Odds Terms of Use

These terms cover the Golden Odds app from Heaton.Photography. By using the app you agree to them. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where the two differ, these terms add to it rather than replace it.

Free and Unlimited

Golden Odds is free to download, with one saved location free for as long as you use it. Golden Odds Unlimited (a subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase where offered) unlocks unlimited saved locations.

Subscriptions

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and length unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel any time in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings (or with Manage subscription in the app). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Unlimited until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country. If a price changes, Apple or Google will tell you beforehand as their rules require.

Free trials

If a free trial is offered, it's shown on the purchase screen with its length. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you're charged at the end of the trial. Any unused part of a trial ends when you buy a subscription. Trials are one per Apple ID or Google account.

Lifetime purchase

A lifetime purchase, where offered, is a one-time payment that unlocks Unlimited for as long as the app is available, with no renewals.

Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, and refunds follow their policies: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com for the App Store, or through Google Play for Android. We can't issue refunds directly, but we're happy to help: hello@heaton.photography.

If you cancel

Your saved locations stay on your phone. Your first location stays free; extra locations are locked, not deleted, until you subscribe again.

Forecasts are estimates

Sunrise and sunset odds, weather, aurora, fog, snow, smoke, satellite times, terrain-based sun times and everything else in the app are estimates from models and public data. They can be wrong. The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, and we're not responsible for missed shots, wasted trips or decisions made using it.

Stay safe

Landscape photography often means darkness, cold, cliffs, water, wildlife and remote roads. You're responsible for your own safety, following local laws, closures, permits and private-property rules, and checking official sources for weather, avalanche, fire and road conditions. Trail and road reports in the app come from other users and may be out of date or wrong.

Reports you send

When you send a rating or a condition report, you let us store it and show it to other users. Don't send false or misleading reports. We may hide or remove any report.

Fair use

Don't copy, resell, reverse engineer or overload the app or its services, or use them to scrape data.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use the app means you accept the changes. These terms are governed by the laws of Colorado, USA, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
