• Lake Haiyaha — A 3.6-mile out-and-back near Estes Park with a waterfall en route, moderately rated and best from June through October. The lake itself sits in a boulder field that photographs completely differently than the more classic alpine lakes nearby — the jumbled rock foreground gives you a lot more compositional options than a typical flat shoreline.
