The Story Behind This Shot

Peak color pouring down the drainage along the Abyss Lake Trail, gold aspens threading between dark spruce with the rocky headwall closing off the top of the valley. This is one of the best fall hikes on the Front Range and one of the longest. Blue sky, hard sun, and no wind to knock the leaves loose.
