The Story Behind This Shot
Morning light on the Sharkstooth and the jagged spires above Sky Pond in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, with the lake still frozen into swirls of blue ice and a single rock breaking through in the foreground. A wide vertical frame shows both the ice patterns and the towers. Sky Pond is nearly five miles from the Glacier Gorge trailhead, and in April the scramble beside Timberline Falls is usually icy. A crisp, high-contrast alpine print for a tall wall.
