The Story Behind This Shot
Standing where open water usually mirrors Hallett Peak, now buried under a whole winter's worth of snow at Dream Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. Storm haze softens the crags and the old weathered logs sit half-swallowed by drifts. The scene drains down to white, gray, and one shade of blue.
A near-monochrome alpine print with genuine stillness to it.
