The Story Behind This Shot
Idaho Springs Reservoir frozen solid under a hard blue winter sky, with wind-streaked cirrus overhead and snow-covered peaks closing off the far end. Pines hold the near shoreline and the whole basin sits quiet. High country lakes spend half the year like this and almost nobody sees it.
A bright, cold-toned Colorado print with real openness to it.
