The Story Behind This Shot
A single band of cloud lighting up orange over layered blue ridges from the summit of Chief Mountain, Colorado. Everything below the skyline has already gone to shadow, which is exactly what makes the one lit cloud work. Summer sunsets along the Front Range hand out about three minutes of this.
A high-contrast landscape print with a quiet, almost graphic simplicity.
