The Story Behind This Shot
Sunrise sliding across a wind-scoured ridge on the Continental Divide at Loveland Pass, Colorado, snow catching gold while the shadowed slopes stay blue. Above treeline in winter there is nothing soft anywhere in the frame. Standing at twelve thousand feet in that wind is its own kind of commitment.
A clean, cold, high-alpine print with real graphic strength.
