Two bighorn sheep standing on the sagebrush rim of the Rio Grande Gorge outside Taos while the sunrise runs a thin gold band under a heavy purple sky. The gorge drops eight hundred feet just past them and they could not look less concerned about it. High desert cold and almost no light to work with.
