The Story Behind This Shot
An adobe wall in Taos, New Mexico, warm in the late-afternoon light, with turquoise doors and window frames, hanging planters, metal suns, and a crop of wild sunflowers spilling across the front. Nothing here was arranged for the camera; it is simply how people decorate in northern New Mexico. Taos is a short drive south of the Colorado line and worth the detour on any trip through the San Luis Valley. A warm, colorful print that brings a little Southwest character to a kitchen or entryway.
Southwest Soul
$30.00
Drawn to scale: a 6" × 4" print over an 84" sofa on an 8-ft wall (about 7% of the sofa width — designers aim for roughly 60–75%).
