The Story Behind This Shot

A green and violet aurora curtain hanging over a dark treeline on the eastern Colorado plains. Far enough from any town that the only light in the frame is coming from the sky itself. Once-a-decade conditions and a very long drive east.

A striking, atmospheric astrophotography print with a clean, simple horizon.
