The Story Behind This Shot

Vertical pillars of magenta and green aurora standing over the eastern Colorado plains, bright enough to read the horizon by. This is a full geomagnetic storm putting the northern lights several hundred miles further south than they belong. Color this saturated straight out of the sky.

A spectacular astrophotography print that stops people where they stand.
